Vision

AN ACCESSIBLE WORLD WHERE EVERY WHEELCHAIR USER IS AN INTEGRATED MEMBER OF SOCIETY AND IS VIEWED AS EMPOWERED OR ENABLED RATHER THAN DISABLED. A WORLD WHERE PEOPLE FEEL INSPIRED BY THOSE IN WHEELCHAIRS.

We accomplish our vision by creating original superheroes based on real life stories of people with disabilities from around the world. We are now working on Rim Power’s first female superhero, Wheelchair Girl, from India.

Rim Power is currently seeking resources to produce the third book in the series, Wheelchair Girl, and a related film project. We are seeking a grant of $100,000 to cover the costs of researching, writing, illustration, production and distribution. The book will be translated for distribution in India.

In order to identify a girl whose story will be told in this new book, Moh will travel with a personal assistant/filmmaker throughout India for approximately one month to meet candidates and collect film footage portraying the chosen individual’s story. After a selection process involving a panel of India-based judges, the action hero character will be developed around a passion for education and a commitment to achieving equality for all wheelchair users.

Moh will be involved in every aspect of the project: directing the writers and artists for the comic book, editing the documentary, arranging for print translations, and managing the production and distribution of the book and film. After completing Wheelchair Girl, he will make a second trip to India to distribute the book while generating media coverage and additional financial support for the organization.
